These are the most wonderful needles with which you will ever knit!  Each needle is hand turned from rosewood and polished to a gorgeous shine.  Yarn just slides over them.  

The shape of the ends indicates the size of the needles.  Currently we have size 8, 11, & 13 in stock but can get anything between 8-15 if you order them.

The Central American species of rosewood in the whorl and shaft of this spindle is called cocobolo (Dalbergia retusa);  it differs from other rosewoods in density, hardness, and in its vibrant color and grain patterning.  Cocobolo is neither endangered nor a rain forest timber and it is being successfully plantation-grown to insure its renewability.
